Active and Outdoors

Ham Street Woods NNR, near Ashford, is an ancient woodland home to protected species such as great crested newts and dormice.

In spring, the woods are filled with white wood anemones and bluebells, whilst autumn is the perfect time for fungi-foraging and appreciating the autumnal leaves.

There are 3 signposted nature trails, 1 with 'easy access' track. An education pack and spotter guide are free to download from our website.

The reserve is only 5 - 10 minutes walk from Hamstreet railway station.
